Bishop Booyah’s Blog

Triple B’s House

Triple B’s in the house!

Alright, yeah I know everyone and their dog has a blog these days, so I figured it's about time I got out there and did a little something something.

I can't believe that people would actually care to read what I have to say, but the world is a crazy place.

The name? Well, "booyah" is a phrase first popularized by gangsta rap. It's a term which can emote joy. Like "I passed my test and got an A+ booyah!" or "I just dropped a 3 point bucket from center court – booyah!" or "I got mad pac man skills – booyah!".

Unlike “booyah”, the term "bishop" is a biblical term, but in recent years, it's a term which has resurfaced primarily in the televangelist… market. It seems to me to be a term that is self promoting, or maybe ego boosting.

Therefore, in honor (or maybe dis-honor) of the modern televangelist, I'm here to say "Biblical Doctrine. Straight up. Booyah."

In today's modern churches, doctrine has taken a back seat. People typically say "Oh, just give me Jesus, I don't want doctrine." But to talk about Jesus is to talk about Christology, the study of Jesus – a biblical doctrinal study.

Maybe they say "All we need is God" – that's theology proper, another doctrinal study.

Maybe "You just need the second generation overflow anointing to take you to the next level from a five fold ministry whosis guy who can pour out the Holy Spirit on your life. Glorray." Well, other than being almost nonsensical, the Holy Spirit is a Person, so I don't know how you pour out a Person. Second off, you're talking about Pneumatology – the doctrinal study of the Holy Spirit.

If you believe everyone should go to heaven that's "soteriology" or the doctrine of salvation.

Anytime you mention anything related to God, the afterlife, faith, Jesus or anything at all spiritual you are talking doctrine.

But now the question is: Where do you get your doctrine from?

I hope and pray that this blog might encourage you in your faith, that it might challenge you in what you believe and make you to question why you believe what you believe.
